My Hairloss
My hair loss started when I was around 27, starting in my crown and progressing forward to my hairline. As it became more and more noticeable it started to affect my everyday life. I was not as socialble around friends and family. My belief in myself along with my happiness level was not nearly as high. Almost every aspect of my life was changed, from work and professional relationships to my interactions with my closest friends. My self confidence took a huge hit and there was just no way to get it back. I tried medications such as Proscar and Rogaine, these products helped slow down my hair loss progression but they were not going to regrow my hair, they were not going to reverse my hair loss and get me back to where I wanted to be. So after 18 months of research I decided to get a Hair Transplant. The doctor I chose was Dr. Alvi Armani and the surgery was scheduled on March 14th of 2007. I am currently 8 months out from my first surgery and I can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I've taken a huge step forward in beating hairloss and am a much happier man for it.
My research
As with any surgery a lot of research needs to be done, along that research path a lot of questions arise that need to be answered. Hopefully my efforts here can help answer some of those questions. Below you will see pictures of me before my surgery, what I looked like immediately after surgery, and a monthly update of my progression with a description of what I experienced. You can email me at

Just got back from my second Hair Transplant. This Transplany was to address the crown and the thinness in zone 3. This was different from the first procedure as it was FUE. I will say the difference between Strip and FUE is night and day. It is only day #2 and my doner area feels fantastic. I virtually have no pain throughout my whole head. We managed to get 2,400 grafts. 2,100 grafts for the crown, 300 grafts were placed into the thinning areas in zone 3 to help out there. I had 400 grafts placed in the crown in HT#1 that had just started growing, combine that with the 2,100 this time around makes a total of 2,500 grafts for zone 4. My estimated break down goes something like this:
Hairline - 2,000 Grafts
Zone 2 - 1,060 Grafts
Zone 3 - 900 Grafts
Crown - 2,500 Grafts.
Total - 6,400 Grafts
This leaves me 3k-5k more for future procedures if need be. I do think this will be the last one for a while though, I will pretty much be back to a full head of hair!!! Check out the coverage and density, I'll finally have a full crown to go with my hairline and front!
Really like this density in these next two!
